Just as the new millenium approached Ken made two overseas trips, one of which would prove life-changing…the other was where he met his wife. On a whirlwind tour of Western Europe a small band of people joined together for fun and frolic. Little did anyone know (though Kellie hinted) that two of the people in that merry group, a girl from Florida and a guy from British Columbia, would wind up married as a result of their meeting on that trip. As neither Canada nor the USA would accept them as a couple, the intrepid duo decided to flee to South Korea to teach English and explore Asia. When they returned it became obvious a party would be a good way to reconnect with old friends – may as well get married, too. The State of Florida was kind enough to sanction the event (for a fee) and the couple became officially hitched in 2004. Eventually the bright-eyed twosome found work in Vancouver that suited them and life was good. Beth chose the transportation logistics field and has never looked back. Ken landed back at the in the same position he had held before his layoff in 2002. In 2007 Beth and Ken were blessed with the addition of a daughter and in 2010 our boy was added to the mix. In between ‘kids say the darndest things’ moments they live their lives much like any TV sitcom family. Recently Ken has decided to combine two or more passions and produce a blog and maybe a podcast…
